tuning question...(again???)

there must be loads of posts about this, but still...

<BR>since i have 3 engines i 'm thinking about doing 1 whole newly rebuilt (new pistons, bearings and all) and use the best parts left over to do a rebuild on the other engine.

<BR>now i wanted to have one original, that would be the last 1, but the new one i would like to tune, but without any hassle if you know what i mean...

<BR>get the biggest bore pistons outthere...
<BR>bore up tm 28 mm carbs
<BR>get some decent (31k ???) pipes.

<BR>this sound like a good idear, what can i expect?

set sqish clearance to 1mm or 0,7, get a pair of original 28mm carbs from the rd 350 aircooled. set up everything proper and sound, tune the carbs fatter...read everything about tuning the rd (rd-aircooled forum and try google "tuning and rd/rz"....
<BR>31k sounds good, some people in here say 1ww or 1wx exhausts are the better choice.

I think "squish clearance" is the distance between the piston crown at TDC and the head.
